My artistic career started in my early youth with the usual crayons, colored pencils, and watercolors. I quickly became an enthusiastic learner of The Arts, and began to progress as an artist. My first experience on canvas boards was with oil painting. High School had me delving into all types of medium; from charcoal sketching to more advanced oils. Once graduated, I took a small hiatus from my education to start my wonderful family. Not able to stay away for long, I went back to college at the University of Texas, Tyler to study Art. Between my passions of Art and motherhood, my time was spread thin, and raising my children and working to support our family took priority.
Now that I am no longer in the workforce, I hope to share my artistic talent with more than family and friends. The main mediums I use are acrylics, oils, and watercolors, in that order. I produce several types of artworks from landscapes and florals to abstract art. This is my true passion, and I just love to make Art!
My work is heavily influenced by my travels and the cultures I have experienced. I am particularly drawn to bright colors and bold patterns, which are often reflected in my pieces.
I believe that art has the power to heal, inspire, and transform. My goal as an artist is to create work that not only looks beautiful, but also resonates with the viewer on a deeper level.
